Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11082
Microsoft exec Gabe Aul notes that there aren’t any big noticeable changes in this build. But, the team is focused on product improvements based on user feedback from the most recent November Update Version 1151 build 105864. Also, expect faster build releases but lots more bugs in it. Insiders often complained about the droughts that occurred when a new build wasn’t released for months. This includes the changes that have also been going out as cumulative updates through Windows Update on your PCs running the Windows 10 November Update as well as on phones running Windows 10 too. We’re also working on some structural improvements to OneCore, which is the shared core of Windows across devices. Essentially, OneCore is the heart of Windows, and these improvements to OneCore make building Windows across PC, tablet, phone, IoT, Hololens and Xbox more efficient. We’re doing some code refactoring and other engineering work to make sure OneCore is optimally structured for teams to start checking in new features and improvements in the new year. As with all updates, a restart is required to complete the installation. Remember, too that you can always schedule the restart for a time that works best for you. For more on that, read our guide on how to schedule Windows 10 Update restarts.
After restarting, launch Run from the hidden quick access menu and type: winver and hit Enter. There you will see the new build number, which at the time of this writing should be 11082.1000.
This release is a nice way to welcome the holidays. Windows 10 launched at the end of July 2015 is Microsoft’s last major revision of Windows, ending the days of big-bang releases. Windows 10 focuses on refinement beyond the product box using the Windows as a Service (WAAS) model which keeps Windows Updated with features and functions delivered through Windows Update and the Windows Store. Microsoft has also made Windows 10 a free upgrade for a limited time for genuine versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers until the end of July 2016. So far, Windows 10 is running on 200 million PCs and devices worldwide. If you’re a Windows Insider, let us know how your experience goes with this new preview build in the comments below. I’ve also tried the clean install and tried the upgrade, but still no chance. “Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11082 – Error 0x80010108” Comment Name * Email *
