Make Your WordPress.com Blog Private
Actually, if you’re not sure about deleting it completely, I recommend making it private first. That way you can keep your posts and allow other writers to access it, but it won’t be viewable to the public. Log in to your WordPress.com dashboard and go to Settings » Reading.
Then select “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose” and hit Save changes at the bottom of the page.
A new button comes up that allows you to invite existing users to view your blog. Then you’ll need to enter in their username and password and only they will have access to it.
Delete Your WordPress.com Blog
Remember that deleting your blog is permanent. You won’t be able to get it back once it’s gone, and the address won’t be available either. From the wordpress.com dashboard, go to Tools » Delete Blog.
On the next page you’ll need to confirm the deletion or select a goal from the list to make sure it’s what you want to do. At the bottom of the menu select “Permanently Delete the Blog Name and Erase all Content”.
Now you’ll get another confirmation page. You can also tell wordpress.com why you’re deleting it, as well as the new address where you’ve moved it.
